MASTERING
"Our focus is on offering high-end, world-class mastering for independent artists at rates they can afford." - Mark Ashfield, Mastering Engineer
Two of the most important reasons why you should have a dedicated mastering engineer to master your tracks:
An experienced second pair of ears and a high-end, full range monitoring system, usually costing tens of thousands of pounds; plus a professionally-treated listening environment to hear it in. Have a look at the photos below to see for yourself.
Our clients for mastering usually fall into two categories - commercial labels / professional mix engineers and independent artists who have usually mixed their own material at home.
Mastering for the professional mix engineer usually requires very little but is still a critical step in preparing the tracks for their intended final media distribution, be it download, streaming, CD or vinyl.
Mastering for independent artists often involves a bit more work to bring the best out of the mix but we pride ourselves in first class service and communication with our customers - if we think the final output would be best served by some mix tweaks or if there are any discrepancies apparent
